My name is Michelle, and I am the proud owner of The Snooty Pooch. My whole life revolves around the pets I meet every day. Not only are they part of your family, but many of my clients have become very close to my heart too.
I have been a certified groomer for nine years and have been in the pet business for 17 years. I started off as a camp counselor for dogs at Town and Country Pet Boarding in Rindge, NH (owned by Marian Thomas). Over the 10 years I worked for Town and Country, Marian and the dogs taught me a lifetime of knowledge.
I then went to Chesterfield, MO to learn about grooming. I had wonderful people guide me through school who gave me a great education in dog cosmetology. After coming back home, I have been grooming dogs here in Cheshire County, and have made connections with people and their dogs that will stay with me for life.
I live here in Troy with my three beautiful kids and husband, along with two coonhounds (Winston and Truly) and my older pomeranian, Haylee.
Aggressive or hard-to-work with dogs are my specialty. Here at the Snooty Pooch, we feel every dog should be given a chance and not given up on. It can be an ongoing process to work with an aggressive dog but I am always up for the challenge. I groom most of the larger breeds that come through our door here at the Snooty Pooch. They can be more of a challenge, but I get right down on the floor with them and groom them at their comfort.
I also take joy in grooming cats. I have been very successfull in working with many felines over the years and try to create a pleasant atmosphere for them while they are being groomed.
Meet Sherry. She lives in Keene with her two-legged and four-legged family. Sherry has been a part of the Snooty Pooch family for four years now.
Sherry is a certified groomer that specializes in helping timid and shy dogs become confident in the grooming process. She is very quiet and loving, treating each pet like one of her own.
One of Sherry's most loved breeds to groom would be the Bernese Mountain Dog. Gracie (who is often in the salon) is Sherry's Berner. The four-legged Kerwin family also consists of a shepherd mix named Cookie, a terrier mix named Lady, a border collie mix named Lucy, and two cats, Stripes and Dori. Along with a house full of animals, Sherry lives with her two boys and her loving husband.
Come on in and meet Sherry! She would love your furry baby to be a part of her Snooty Pooch family.
